Edith Adwell Chapmon

September 1, 1927 — October 20, 2014

Edith Adwell Chapmon age 87 of Horse Cave passed away Monday October 20, 2014 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was a native of Hart County a former employee of the Horse Cave Sewing Factory, the Cave City Wigwam, the  Louisville Store and a member of the Northtown United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dell and Lillie Meredith Adwell, her husband, Paul Chapmon, two brothers, Roger and Garland Adwell, two sisters, Mayvonnie Chapmon and Alvene Coats , a niece Germaine Owen and two nephews, David Adwell and Danny Coats.

She is survived by a sister, Norma Jean Martin of Horse Cave , a brother, Leo Adwell and his wife Marie of Horse Cave. Her nieces and nephews that she helped raise and loved as her own, Veronica Hughes and husband Eddie of Murfreesboro, Tn.,  Nell Jaggers and her husband Billy of Horse Cave, Kennetha Sanders and her husband Bobby of Cave City, Vickie Isenburg of Cave City, Perry Martin and his wife Shannon of Horse Cave, Kevin Martin and his wife Missy of Horse Cave and many other nieces , nephews and great nieces and nephews .

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 23, 2014 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday.
