Edd Hiser

Edd Hiser, 91 of Chicken Bristle, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Highland Ridge Assisted Living in Glasgow. He was a native of Metcalfe county and a retired farmer. A graduate of Center High School in 1943, he served in the U.S. Army in the infantry division in Germany during World War II.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan Coleman and Eula Robertson Hiser. A brother, James “Bub” Hiser.

He is survived by his sister, Eugenia Hiser Gottschalk and her four children of Lutherville. Md.; Nine nieces, including Helen Lawrence, of Bowling Green, Marcia Thacher and her husband, Dan, of Paducah, Doris Devore, of Glasgow, Linda McKinney and her husband, Harold, of Glasgow. Margaret Wisdom and her husband, David, of Glasgow, Emily Bruton and her husband, Eric, of Glasgow, and a special nephew, J.D. Wisdom, of Glasgow.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Hiser Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 12:00 p.m.- until the time of service on Sunday.
