Dorothy Jean Huffman Hiser, 86 of the Monroe Community, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at her home. She was native of Hart County and member of Pleasant Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church and attended Monroe Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom, enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, quilting and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey and Annie Robertson Huffman; her husband, H.T. Hiser; a daughter, Gail Denton; one son, Wayne Jewell; one great-granddaughter, Jamie Tapscott; a son-in-law, Bobby Denton; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by, one daughter, Oma Riordan (Billy) of Horse Cave; three sons, William Jewell (Betty) of Monroe, Butch Jewell (Willow Dean) of Greensburg, Ira Hiser (Martha) of Monroe; one sister, Ruthie Jewell of Linwood; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Whickerville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at Winn Funeral Home.
