Dorothy Goodman Burd

Dorothy Goodman Burd age 85 of Scottsville, KY and formerly of Glasgow passed away Saturday February 7, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow surrounded by her loving children. She was born and raised in Munfordville, KY and was a homemaker, farmer and was retired as a LPN at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.

She was a member of the Baptist faith and loved her family and flower gardening. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Fon Goodman and Lora Willhomina Jeorandt Goodman, her husband, Burton Burd in 1995 and three brothers, Robert Goodman, Paul Goodman and Leonard Goodman, one sister, Inez Goodman McClery and a great-grandson, Adam Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Lora Lynn Burd of Glasgow, her son, Robbie Burd and his wife Pat of Scottsville, Ky. her grandchildren, Tammy Miller, Christy Poynter, Wayne Burd and Jennifer Iverson , eight great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren, and by several neices and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday February 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the family plot of the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. on Monday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time on Tuesday.

Expressions of Sympathy in her memory may be made to either the Horse Cave or Munfordville Cemetery Trust.
