Doris Johnson

Doris Johnson, age 88 of Horse Cave, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was a native of Barren County and a member of the Center Church Of Christ. She retired from Mammoth Cave Garment Company and had worked for Gale and Dales and baked bread for Dennisons Roadside Market for the last several years. She enjoyed trips to the Smoky Mountains. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Johnson; her parents, Ben and Mary Garrett; brother, W.R. Garrett; sister, Wanda Kay Wheeler.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Smith (David); grandson, Scott Smith (Angela); great-grandson, Travis Marsh Smith; two step-greatgrandsons, Tommy and Lakota Houchin; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Emma Hodges.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will held at Winn Funeral Home from 4-8 pm on Sunday, April 17, 2022 and from 8 am until time of service on Monday.
