Dixie Lee Hensley Norman, 84, of Horse Cave, passed away at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2011 at her home.

She was a Hart County native,a housewife, a 50 year member of the Caveland Order of the Eastern Star and a devoted, longtime member of Cave Spring Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah L. Hensley and Hettie Conyers Hensley; her husband, Joe Norman; 5 sisters, Dana Forbis, Freda Wade, Ruth Slaughter, Lucille Trent and MaeDell Atwell; 2 brothers, Floyd Hensley, Sr. and Ray Hensley.

Survived by

Daughter: Carolyn Sturgeon and husband, George, Horse Cave

2-Granddaughters: Glenna Gardner and husband, Kevin, Cave City and Trina Rickard and husband, Jason, Glasgow.

6-Great-Grandchildren: Tyler, Kyle, Jordan and Grant Gardner; Hilary and Hayden Rickard.

1-Sister: Alice Perkins, Elizabethtown

1- Brother: Everett Hensley, Monroe

Winn Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, June 7th, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM and after 8:00 AM, Wednesday.

Funeral Service

Winn Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
