Coy Riordan, age 90, of Hardyville, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Hart County, a retired farmer, having retired after 27 years as a driver for Lora Turner & Son Trucking hauling milk. He was a member of Joyners Chapel Church and caretaker for over 50 years of Riordan Cemetery. He also served in the U.S. Navy and he loved his family with a passion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick (P.E.) Riordan & Daisy Francis Gentry Riordan, his wife, Mary Lou Riordan in October of 2001, four brothers, Floyd Frank Riordan, James Robert Riordan, Eustice Rowland Riordan & Denzel Ross Riordan, three sisters, Mable Scott, Mae Johnson & Norma Jean Hood.
He is survived by two sons, Keith Riordan and his wife, Gardenia, of Hardyville & Jimmie Riordan and wife, Judy, of Louisville, five grandchildren, Phillip Riordan and wife, Jerry Jean, Patrick Riordan and wife, Becky, Gary Riordan and wife, Sherry, Melissa Goldsmith and husband, Jonathan, Ronnie Riordan and wife, Melissa, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Winn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Riordan Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home on Monday from 5-9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Riordan Cemetery.
