Cova England

May 21, 1929 — March 8, 2014

Cova England, 84, of Horse Cave, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at NHC Health Care in Glasgow.

She was born in Mammoth Cave National Park on May 21, 1929, a member of Mammoth Cave Baptist Church, a homemaker and a retired retail sales clerk. She loved growing roses and was an avid birdwatcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus Johnson and Elizabeth Childress Johnson and six brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Les England, of Horse Cave; her son, Michael England and wife, Elizabeth, of Foley, MN; two daughters, Susan Acosta and husband, Daniel, of Albuquerque, NM and Carol Wykoff and husband, Bob, of Horse Cave; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11AM, with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Tuesday from 3-8PM and after 9AM until service time on Wednesday.
