Chester C. Way, long time resident of Horse Cave, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on February 4, 2022 at TJ Samson Community Hospital and is now at home with the Lord. Chester was born on March 22, 1940 in Rose Hill, Virignia to Elizabeth and Rev. Shields Way. Chester was the last survivng child of a family of 10 children. Chester was the postmaster of Horse Cave from 1983-2004 and had been at South Cenetral Bank for the last 18 years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Horse Cave, as well as a long-time member of the Horse Cave Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir. Chester was beloved by all and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy (Logemann) Way; two daughters, Jennifer-Ann Chaplin (Mark), of Madison, Alabama and Amy Marie Ross (Johnny), of Kansas City, Missouri. Chester also leaves behind three granddaughters, Chelsey Balch (Drew), of Helena Alabama, Hannah Chaplin of Madison, Alabama, and Rilee Ross, of Kansas City, Missouri. Chester leaves behind his first great-grandson, Jackson Graham Balch, and of course his beloved Dozer.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Horse Cave Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Visitation will be held from 2 PM-4PM.

Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly father." - Matthew 5:14-16.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
