Chester Owen "Dutch" Thomas age 84 of Cave City passed away Friday July 22, 2016 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow . He was a native of Orel, Kentucky and a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He retired from General Electric Appliance Park in Louisville after 34 years. He enjoyed living on the farm after moving back to the country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward Thomas and Mildred Yates Thomas , a grandson, Derrick and by two brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Huddleston Thomas of Cave City
one daughter, Pam Bell and her husband Earl of Valley View, Texas
two sons, David Thomas and his wife Becky of Corydon, Indiana
and Denny Thomas and his wife Tammy of Greensboro, Georgia.
Three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren and by
one brother and two sisters.
Also surviving are two very special friends, Martha and Steve Tapscott .
Graveside Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. CST (11 a.m. EST) at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Intombment will follow in the Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by the U. S. Army. Services are under the direction of Winn Funeral Home in Horse Cave.
I will miss Uncle Dutch. He was a great man. Your niece loves you very much.
