Charles Lee Marcum

Charles Lee Marcum, age 72, of Cave City, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was a member of the Horse Cave Baptist Church. He was a truck driver and mechanic for several years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served in Combat Action in Vietnam in 1970 and 1971. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge. He was a member of the VFW Post 5906 of Glasgow and served as an office in multiple capacities.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marcum; his parents, Charles Maxie Marcum and Anna Lee Hogan Marcum; his son, Anthony Marcum, and his first wife, Diane Marcum.

He is survived by two brothers, Larry Marcum (Sue and Albert Marcum (Linda); two sisters, Joyce Groce (Caleb) and Mable Marcum (friend, Daniel Harper); a step-son, Brian Harlan (Debbie); step-daughter, Cathy McMillan (Jim); sic step-grandchildren, Emily, Mariah, Arianna, Matt, Heather, and Tracie; 13 step-greatgrandchildren; three nieces; two great nieces; two great nephews and one great-great niece.

Funeral services will be held at Winn Funeral Home at 1 PM on Monday, September 12, 2022 with burial to follow in the Cave City Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 11 AM-8 PM with a VFW service provided by the VFW Post 5906 of Glasgow being held at 7 PM Sunday.
