Charles D. King

September 18, 1927 — January 4, 2014

Charles D. King age 86 of Horse Cave passed away Saturday January 4, 2014 at the Hart County Health Care Center. He was a Hart County Native , a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at Uno and a Retired Farmer, Cattleman and Livestock Hauler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Davidson King on August 23, 2009, his parents, Golden King and Rebie Myers Hayes. and one sister, Marjorie Furlong.

Charles is survived by one son, Douglas King and his wife Diana of Horse Cave, two daughters, Charla Sprouse and her husband Tom of Smiths Grove and Bonita King of Louisville, one step-daughter, Dorothy VanBrussel of Louisville. Four grandchildren, Buddy King, Travis King, Jennifer Oberhausen and Nedra Jurcak. Five great-grandchildren. One sister, Frances Schwab of Eufaula,AL , One niece, Karen Benefield also of Eufaula, also by several cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday January 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Friday.
