Charles David Irvin, age 85, of Horse Cave, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born and raised at Rowletts, Kentucky, retired from GE Appliance Park in Louisville, and a member of the Cedar Cliff Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Alva Kenney Irvin, a son, Charles Allen Irvin, and his first wife, Barbara Waters Irvin.
He is survived by his wife, Aline S. Irvin, Horse Cave, a daughter, Roberta Jones and husband, Ronnie, Taylorsville, Kentucky, three sons, Steve Irvin and wife, Connie, of Louisville, Kevin Irvin of Louisville, and David Irvin of Kissimmee, FL, five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, step-daughter, Rebecca Cole and husband, Lloyd, VanBuren, AK, step-son, Anthony Westerfield, Loveland, OH, three step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, one sister, Marguerite Cooper, Munfordville, KY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Winn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation at Winn Funeral from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
