Bro. David W. Rountree

Brother David W. Rountree age 67 of the Northtown Community passed away Friday August 22, 2014 , his deceased sons birthday, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a Hart County native , a Carpenter, Farmer, Logger, Minister and Teacher to his Children and Grandchildren of the important things in life. He was a Faithful Companion and Loving Father and Grand-Father. a Ky. Colonel and member of the Providence United Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Elmore Rountree & Vada Sturgeon Rountree, his son, Chris Rountree, three brothers, Clyde Rountree, Jr. , Charles Rountree and Roger Rountree, two sisters, Esther and Mavis Rountree.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Crabtree Rountree of Northtown, two daughters, Becky Pace & her husband Gary of Northtown and Linda Miller & her husband Lonnie of Bee Springs, one son, Jason Rountree & his wife Carrie of Northtown, four grandchildren,Beth Woodcock, Deron Miller , Nathan Miller and Kymber Rae Rountree. 1 step-grandson, Gary Pace, Jr. , three step-great grandchildren, Charles, Ava and Gabe Woodcock. two sisters, Ruth Dickinson of Horse Cave and Nellie Clifford of Elizabethtown, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 26, 2014 at the Providence United Baptist Church under direction of the Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave with burial to follow in the Northtown Cemetery. Visiation at Winn Funeral Home from 12 noon until 9 p.m.on Sunday and 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
