Brenda Kay Crain

December 22, 1953 — October 29, 2012

On October 29, 2012, Brenda Kay Blair Crain won her long, brave battle with breast cancer and graduated into the presence of her heavenly Father.

She was a Kentucky Colonel, a licensing clerk for the City of Horse Cave, a longtime accountant, wife, mother, grandmother, member of Coral Hill Baptist Church and Miss Brenda to a generation of children that she taught in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was and is beloved by everyone who knew her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Veda Mae Blair and Albro T. Blair of Cave City, two sisters, Margaret Ann Huff of Munfordville, Peggy Sue Spann of Cave City, three brothers, Taylor Blair, Bobby Wayne Blair and Joe Louis Blair.

Survived by

She will be sorely missed by her husband, Danny P. Crain of Horse Cave, her son and daughter-in-law, Philip Ray Crain and Emily Boston Crain of Lexington, grandson and reason to keep fighting, Beckham Reed Crain of Lexington. She also was survived by four sisters, Edith Poynter of Cave City, Betsy Waddell of Cave City, Joyce McCubbin and husband Thomas McCubbin of Munfordville and Teresa Owens and husband Steve Owens of Cave City. She also is survived by her brother-in-law, Greg Spann and wife Renee Spann and their son, her nephew, Justin Spann of Cave City along with a large number of additonal nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles to four generations and countless friends.

Visitation

Visitation 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home.

Funeral Service

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.
