Billy Ray Trent

Billy  Ray Trent, age 77, of the Three Springs Community, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.  He was born in Metcalfe County,  a retired farmer and also retired from Green Mechanical as HVAC technician, a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian faith, an U.S. Army Veteran and an avid U.K. Basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond H. & Frances Roberts Trent, and a brother, Kim Trent.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Tinsley Trent of the Three Springs Community, one son, Leslie Trent and wife, Brenda, of Cub Run, one daughter, Jo Trent Evener and husband, Chuck, of Edmonton, his step-mother, Clara Jolly Trent, of Center, two sisters, Shirley Clark of Center, and Dixie Trent of Harvest, Alabama, six grandchildren, Marcus Trent and wife, Brittany, Matthew Devore, Trevor Trent and wife, Elizabeth, Makalah Trent and friend, Jake, Allison Whitlow and husband, Matt, and Jacob Lowe, six great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Cosby Cemetery.  Visitation at 3-8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. on Saturday until service time.
