Guestbook

Yo, Jo!
I first met you about 25 years ago when I showed up at your kennel to buy a dog from you.  You were walking a goat on a leash when I showed up.  I was looking for a Schipperke.  I explained what I wanted in the dog, and you tried to tell me the pup wouldn't fulfill my needs.  Yeah.  I bought it anyway and yeah, you were right.  Always honest even if it would cost you a sale.
Second time, I was looking for a poodle.  I didn't like poodles and you knew that, and somehow you guided me to one of the best dogs of my life, Spitfire.  A dang poodle, LOL.
Thru a mutual love of dogs, a friendship developed.  One that lasted in spite of contrasting personalities.
Thru some of the hardest times of my life, you were there.  Not condoning me thru my f-ups, but accepting me in spite of them.
You were my rock.  My guiding light.  Just like a light house, you helped guide my through rough waters.
As my waters smoothed out, yours roughened, and yet you were still there for ME!
Jo, life without you as my anchor will be a challenge.  It has been so long since life before you, I don't remember how to do it on my own anymore, but I also know you would kick my behind if I don't figure it out, so...
I will miss your physical presence for, like, forever, but you will always be my rock.  If I get lost again, I have no doubt you will somehow still figure out a way to guide me, cause that just how awesome (or formidable) you are!
I'm sorry I can't be there for your last hurrah, but thank you for waiting for me to say goodbye.
I love you Jo!  Now and forever.  See you when my time comes...  if I'm good enough...

Mom don't forget my question the first night I came to the hospital
on August 3rd.
When you get to Heaven will you wait for me?
Love Anita

She was not in my life long, but she battled into my life and landed in my heart feet planted. She was a force of life I never encountered before. She paved her own road, blazed her own trail and never looked back in regret. She opened her home to me, and we learned to co-exist with each other. I hope that she knew how much she meant to me. Jo you left a corner of my heart that only your presence can fill.
