Archie L. Smith

Archie L. Smith, 88, of Horse Cave, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Caverna Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Slick Rock, Kentucky,  an owner and operator of Archie's Garage in Horse Cave for 30 years and an U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert & Mary Bunch Smith, his wife, Freida Iona Smith, three sons, Jr. Smith, Ronnie Smith & Jackie Durham, one daughter, Dorothy Smith, two infant children, and sister, Helen Nichols.

He is survived by four daughters, Janet White and husband, Jim, of Memphis, IN, Selena Denton of New Albany, IN, Dottie Durham and companion, William Smith, of Horse Cave, and Rhoda Eubank of Memphis, IN, 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation at Winn Funeral Home from 1-9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until service time.
