Adelia Mae "Granny Dee" Wilcoxson Overfelt of Green County, daughter of the late Garnett and Mayple Bastin Wilcoxson was born on August 1, 1925 and went home Monday, June 14, 2021 at her home. She was 95 years, 10 months and 47 days of age. She made profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member and loved everyone. She always made everyone feel welcome. She also loved to quilt, sew, and loved taking care of anyone.
She is survived by two children, Billy Overfelt (Joyce), of Hart County and Matilda Lindsey (Jackie), of Horse Cave; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Overfelt was also preceded in death by her husband, Lealon Overfelt; two children, Jerry Overfelt and Peggy Overfelt; one granddaughter, Kim Pruitt.
Services will be held at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021 with burial to follow in the Whickerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until time of service at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
