Thomas Lee Martz

Thomas Lee Martz went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Ascension McComb Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights Michigan. He was born to the late Robert Sr. and Leah Martz on August 6, 1945. He was an elder at the Greater Rose of Sharon Church in Michigan where he taught Sunday School and preached. He was also a long time member of the Troy Christian Church in Michigan. He loved to sing and read God’s word. He traveled the world teaching and preaching God’s word and sang with a choir. He loved playing the piano and organ. He had a heart of gold and loved to help in the missions field and also served with the Gideons International.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a niece, Tamara Latham; aunts, uncles and grandparents.

He is survived by a brother, Robert Martz Jr.; a niece, Rochelle Larimore (Tommy); a great-niece, Crystal Short (Nicholas); three great-nephews, Michael Larimore (Amanda), Josh Rose (Alicia), and Chris Rose. He is also survived by cousins that he was very close to and a host of great, great nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service held at the Horse Cave Cemetery on Saturday, June 5th under the direction of Winn Funeral Home.
