Brenda Jean Russell

Brenda Jean Russell, age 71 of Hardyville passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a native of Hart County and member of Rowletts Baptist Church. She was a 1967 graduate of Caverna. She was a loving mother and mammaw.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Russell; her parents, Keith and Elsie Davis; one sister, Sharon Asbury.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa King (Jason); her son, Gary Russell (David); three grandchildren, Tiffany Sexton (Matt), Brianna Minor (Joseph) and Camden King; three great-grandchildren, Bryson and Keyleigh Sexton,  Rowan Dill; three brothers, Scott Davis (Shelly), Tony Davis (Tiffany Johnson) and Keith Dale Davis (Jeannie); two sisters, Wanda Johnson (Mark) and Darla Asbury (Lenny); one brother-in-law, Kenny Asbury; several friends and other family also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cosby Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home and again on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
